- 1 large bunch broccoli (or use prepackaged florets)
- ½ stick or more butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- ½ cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp. red pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 large can mushrooms
- 1 ½ rolls garlic cheese or ½ lb. or more grated cheddar
- Bread crumbs
Cook broccoli. Saute the onions and bell pepper in butter. Add Worcestershire sauce, red pepper, mushroom soup, drained mushrooms, and cheese. (If using garlic rolls, cut into ½ inch rounds for easier melting.) Mix sauce and broccoli and put in casserole. Top with bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
Note: You may substitute cooked frozen or canned green beans for broccoli. You may also use frozen broccoli (2-3 boxes).
Note: You may also put this in chafing dish and use as a dip for garlic Melba rounds, but use frozen chopped broccoli.
