Four-Layer Delight

Crust:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 cup pecan, finely chopped (optional)

Mix all ingredients well.  Spread in baking dish (8 x 12 x 2) and press with fingers.  Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes.  Cool.

Filling:

  • 1 cup Cool Whip
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 pkg. cream cheese, softened

Mix Cool Whip, sugar, and cream cheese.  Spread over cooled crust.

Pudding:

  • 2 4-oz. pkgs. instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk

Mix both boxes of pudding with 3 cups milk.  Let set for a few minutes to thicken.  Pour over cream cheese layer.

Topping:

  • 3 cups (or less) Cool Whip
  • Grated sweetened chocolate

Top with Cool Whip.  Grate sweetened chocolate on top (or use Hershey bars – frozen for easier grating – or Hershey Kisses).
