½ stick butter 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 lb. lean ground beef 1/3 cup or more red wine
Salt and pepper 1 can beef broth or consommé
4 oz. (exactly) wide egg noodles 8 oz. sour cream
Saute garlic and onion in butter. Then sauté mushrooms. Push to one side; brown meat. Mix, add wine, cover, and steam 2 minutes. Season. Add broth and noodles. Simmer covered for 30 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in sour cream.
