1 recipe spaghetti sauce
1 pkg. lasagna noodles, boiled with salt and olive oil, and drained
2 6-oz. pkgs. sliced Mozzarella cheese
24-oz. carton cottage cheese*
1 egg
Mix egg and cottage cheese. (I do this in cottage cheese container.) In lasagna pan, layer 1/3 spaghetti sauce, 1 pkg. cheese, ½ cottage cheese/egg mixture, and noodles. Repeat. Cover top noodle layer with remaining spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Better if made ahead and refrigerated. If cold, bake for 45 minutes.
*I tried Ricotta cheese once and didn’t like it as much.
